The boxes arrived this morning. Teens have been going thru the
fabrics like little kids at Christmas. Since it is 65 miles to a
fabric shop and most of them don't have funds to get there, this is
awesome for them. Some have funds most do not.. I am sure you will
see some of the fabric in the quilts we make for HMQS if we get them
there.
This year I have almost all beginners so they are still trying
to figure out what 1/4 straight means. They are currently making
crocheted hats for each of the grade school children for Christmas and
giant Christmas stockings for the 30 kindergarten children. I had moms
calling in Sept. wanting to be sure their child was getting a giant
stocking. Has been tradition for many years. When your silbings are
all older and have a giant stocking made by the basketball players you
msut have one also.(:)
Coull you please forward on our greatest thanks for thinking of us.
It is only thru the generosity of so many people my teens can do and
learn what they do. Your textiles friends from Idaho.

Great November Meeting
Great to see everyone, and the food was awesome!
We covered a lot. There were some great ideas for christmas motifs and how to handle odd fabrics like minty, t-shirt materials, flannel, silk, and others. We also collected a lot for the Council High School program up in Idaho. Thanks to all who donated!
There's a new Modern Quilts magazine out if any of you are interested in learning more about the new trend. We also recommend looking up some of the following authors some of the books we reviewed were excellent.
Leah Day - Free Motion, http://www.freemotionquilting.blogspot.com You can also check out her background filler book 365 Free Motion Quilting designs
Deb Travino
Angela Walters - check out her blog here: http://www.quiltingismytherapy.com
Ann Bright - http://www.annebright.com/shop/search/?keywords=holiday

We wish you all a very happy holiday season and we look forward to seeing you all again next year at our January Meeting on the 19th.
