It was great to see everyone at our first meeting of 2012, we have quite a good size group this year!

Just wanted to pass some info along. Debbie Mumm is celebrating their anniversary with a free quilt pattern which will come out in 6 installments through the year.

Welcome to a New Year with the Guild!

We are looking forward to starting off the new year with a new president and a new meeting location.

Our new president is Val Gines and Gaye Ryon will be serving as Vice President. Thanks to these two ladies for their service.

PLEASE NOTE: We will be meeting at  Handi Quilter in North Salt Lake. They have generously offered to let us have our meetings there, and we have happily accepted. From I15 the center street exit #314 and turn right. Go west to 700 West and , turn right again. Handi quilter is on your left.

HANDI QUILTER
445 North 700 West
North Salt Lake, Utah

Gaye Ryon, our VP  will be talking about some of the things a judge looks at when she sees your quilt, which is good to know when you are preparing to enter a quilt contest such as HMQS.

Also, Ann Collett will talk to us about the new theme, Star Spangled, and the charity they have chosen to support this year.

We would like to finish up with dues for the 2012 year, so prepare to pay $15 for that if you haven't yet.
When you bring a quilt to show the group we want to have them displayed as soon as you walk in, so we will encourage you to lay your quilt or quilts out on tables that will be designated for that purpose. This will allow people more time to view them.

I wanted to bring back the block of the month idea share, so this time we will be looking for your ideas to stitch the Ohio Star.
